Angela is the founder and head trainer of Gentle Wolf Dog Training, working across Germany and the U.S. to bring a higher standard of dog training and education to the industry. With a deep understanding of canine behavior, communication, and structure, she focuses on elevating the way dogs are trained and understood in the U.S., moving beyond the more common treat-based or purely tool-dependent approaches.

Angela’s mission extends beyond training dogs—she is committed to shaping the next generation of trainers through the Gentle Wolf Trainer Academy, where she works alongside trusted German colleagues to share science-based, communication-driven methods. By combining structured education, hands-on experience, and proven techniques from Germany, she is setting a new benchmark for dog training that prioritizes clarity, fairness, and long-term success.

In addition to private training, Angela offers Board & Train programs at selected times in the Birmingham, AL area, ensuring dogs receive immersive training under her guidance. She also provides International Bootcamp options, allowing owners to take their dog’s training to the next level in a fully structured environment traveling to you.

Hollis is the first Gentle Wolf trainer in Kansas City, bringing her passion and dedication to dogs and their owners in the region. Coming from a different training background, she ran into dead ends with her own dogs, realizing that the more common treat-based or purely tool-dependent approaches weren’t providing the structure, clarity, and lasting results she was looking for. Determined to find a better way, she joined Gentle Wolf Dog Training, immersing herself in our science-based, communication-driven approach.

Now, as Gentle Wolf’s center of expertise in Kansas City, Hollis helps dog owners overcome challenges by teaching them that the balance isn’t in extremes but in fair, clear communication and mutual respect. She offers private training sessions, as well as Leash & Learn outings that provide trainer-level structure and exposure to real-world environments, making every walk a productive learning experience.

In the future, Hollis will also offer limited in-home boarding spots exclusively for clients, ensuring dogs continue their training and structure even while their owners are away.

Ali is a trusted member of the Gentle Wolf team, offering in-home boarding for your dogs while you’re away in the Birmingham AL area. As a veterinary technician with a solid understanding of canine behavior and structure, she ensures that your dog’s routine and training remain consistent—even when you’re on vacation. Rather than a stressful kennel environment, your dog stays in a calm, structured home setting, where training is reinforced in their familiar daily routines.

Ali is committed to providing a safe, stable, and engaging environment, so you can travel with peace of mind knowing your dog is in experienced hands. She keeps owners updated with regular check-ins, photos, and progress reports, making sure you stay connected while you're away. Ali looks forward to caring for your dog and maintaining their training until you return!

Makinlee is the youngest and newest member of the Gentle Wolf team, bringing energy and dedication to dogs and their owners in Birmingham, AL. She offers structured walks and outings through our Leash & Learn program, designed to reinforce good leash manners and positive behavior in real-world settings.

Makinlee will take your dog out for walks while you’re at work, having too much on your plate or simply for the benefit of providing added structure and repetition to support your training goals, or simply helping to take some work off your plate. Her structured outings ensure your dog gets the attention and training they need, even on busy days, while helping them build confidence and respect in every walk.
